Fat Bastard Cup & Fat Bastard Handicap Challenge

The Fat Bastard Cup event takes place on every par 3 hole; the winner is the player with the lowest aggregate score for all the par 3's on the Saturday of the competition. In the event of a tie between multiple players, the player with the lowest score on the last par 3 is the winner. If the event is still tied, the player with the lowest score on the second-last par 3 is the winner (you can probably figure out where this is going). If the event is still tied after counting back all the par 3's, we'll figure something out.

New as of 2008, is the Fat Bastard Handicap Challenge, which is awarded to the lowest net score on the final round of the weekend; scores from the previous rounds during the weekend are used to calculate a “real time” handicap, to be subtracted from the final round's gross score.

2012 Winners (“Rock It Like You Own It” Tour)

This year's FB Cup was closely contested by Howitzer, Far Can Joe, Lippy aand Bold. Howitzer took The Cup with a hard-earned +6 on the Revere-Lexington greasy greens, besting Far Can Joe by 1 stroke. BUT this year"s cup also saw the first DQ, with Howitzer being disqualified from The Cup because he was "given" a putt when he neglected to bring his putter to the green on #17. Far Can's +7 was followed by Lippy and Bold at +8 and +9 respectively.

To everybody's surprise, Fascist closed out the Sunday round at Rio Secco with a net 67, narrowly squeeking out a victory for the Handicapped Challenge against Howitzer's 69 (gross 89), followed by the rest of the crew in the mid 70's (net).

2011 Winners (“Rockstars From Mars” Tour)

To nobody's surprise the winner of the FB Cup came out of the morning's "Past Champions" cart, with Just A FB taking the honors yet again with a well-played +3 on Saturday's rounds. Just A edged out Far Can Joe who played to a very respectable +4, which Fascist had assured him earlier would be enough to win the Cup.

Far Can Joe BRUNG IT to the Sunday round taking the FB Handicap Challenge (aka 'Handicapable' Challenge aka Retard Cup), solidly playing his way to a Net 65 on the Quarry course. Far Can was followed closely by Just A with a Net 66 (gross 80 - very very nice) and newcomer Frenchy LaRue with a Net 68.

2010 Winners (“Year of the Tiger” Tour)

This year's winner of the Fat Bastard Cup was Father of Just A FB, keeping it in the family.

The Fat Bastard Handicap Challenge was won by How-itzer, contender from 2009 who pulled through with a victory, channeling mad golf skillz with his new orange golf knickers ensemble.

2009 Winners (“Where's My Bailout?” Tour)

This year's winner of the Fat Bastard Cup was All In FB, with a two-round total of +2; the next closest competitor (How-itzer) had a score of +5, followed by three players () at +7 and then things tailed off from there.

The Fat Bastard Handicap Challenge was much more closely contested this year, with all 11 players finishing with a net score within 7 strokes; winner in 2009, after resorting to the first decimal place to break a three-way tie, was Bold FB with a net 76.5 (gross score of 99) How-itzer with net 77.0 (gross score of 93). Second place went to Just A FB with a net 77.2 (gross 90) and third place to Bold FB with a net 77.5 (gross 99).

2008 Winners (“Show Me the Money” Tour)

This year's unsurprising winner of the Cup was Just A FB's fantastic two-round total of -1; if memory serves correct that is the lowest total yet recorded for the FB Cup. Even All-In's ace couldn't save enough strokes to take the Cup from Just A FB.

Sandbaggin' FB won the inaugural Fat Bastard Handicap Challenge. Sandbaggin' somehow managed to drop 13+ strokes off his handicap on Sunday for a net 63 (gross 105).

2007 Winner (“Mission From God” Tour)

This year's surprising winner was Fascist FB, with a two-round total of +2. Just A FB held the lead after Saturday's first round with a score of even par and Fascist close behind at +1. The afternoon round was rained out and competition carried-over to Sunday, with Fascist managing to post another +1 score while Just A FB dropped off with a +3. More amazing than Fascist actually winning the Cup this year was that he managed to do it by rolling in a 30+ foot putt on the last par 3 to save par.

2006 Winner (“Vini. Vidi. Vici.” Tour)

This year's winner, a second-time attendee, All In FB (aka Almost A FB), in the first ever Sunday playoff against Stinky

2005 Winner

Just A FB retains the Cup again. There were a few early challengers this year, but they all faded away (again).

2004 Winner

Just A FB takes the Cup back with a two-round score of 26. There were no real challengers this year, with Lippy and Stinky coming in at 30 and Fascist trailing badly with a 35.

2003 Winner

Stinky FB with a two-round score of 28, followed closely by Just A FB and Lippy FB with 29s and Bold and Fascist FB with 30s. Honest FB brought up the rear with a 34. On the drive out, Stinky commented that this could be the year for someone to challenge Just A FB for the Cup and he was right.

2002 Winner

Just A FatBastard with a score of 25 over both rounds on Saturday. Runner up was Lucky with a score of 29 followed by Stinky with a 30 and Fascist with a 33.

2001 Winner

Just A FatBastard with a score of 25 over both rounds on Saturday (par score would have been 24). Runner up was Stinky with a score of 30. Next was Lucky with a 35 and Fascist with a 36.
